Traffic Driving Internet Marketing Promotion Ideas

Filed under: Traffic Management @ 8:33 am

Internet marketing promotion serves two main purposes: 1) Driving
traffic to a website; 2) Ensuring that the traffic is targeted
traffic.

It is really crucial that your promotional efforts fulfill both
of these purposes. Without traffic, a website is nothing more
than a piece of art that is taking up space on the World Wide
Web.

Like an incredible, decked out building that is vacant, it
is simply decoration that accomplishes nothing. On the other
hand, a website that has loads of traffic and tons of unique
visitors per day is no more effective than the website that has
no traffic if the traffic visiting the website is not targeted
traffic.

Thus, if either of the two main purposes of internet
marketing promotion is not fulfilled, your business likely will
not benefit from your promotion efforts.

In order to drive traffic to a website, getting the website
listed in the search engines, either through search engine
optimization or through pay-per-click advertising is pretty
important.

Search engine marketing is undoubtedly one of the most
effective forms of internet marketing promotion in existence. The
majority of internet users who seek information via the internet
us the search engines to gather information, so a search engine
listing can be extremely fruitful in driving traffic to your
website.

In order for that traffic to be targeted, your search engine
marketing campaigns have to be carefully designed.

Keyword

research to determine the popularity of certain keywords and
keyword phrases among your target audience is essential to
designing an effective search engine marketing strategy.

Using

the right keywords for your target audience will increase your
website’s potential for receiving targeted traffic. The titles of
your web pages and their descriptions that show up in search
engine results also play a large role in getting internet users
to click-through to your website and to view what you are
offering or displaying on your website.

In addition to search engine marketing, there are other internet
marketing promotion techniques that have potential for driving
qualified traffic to your website. These include:

  • Link exchanges
  • Banner advertising
  • Publishing of expert articles
  • Email marketing
  • Starting your own affiliate program
  • Listing your website in directories
  • Listing your website in portals
  • Buying advertisements in ezines
  • Participating in newsgroups and online forums
  • Using shopping bots

In addition to these internet marketing promotion ideas, you can
also attract visitors to your website through more traditional
marketing methods.

For instance, you can issue press releases to gain media
exposure; place classified advertisements in newspapers or
industry-related magazines; deliver advertisements or coupons
through direct mail; advertise on radio stations or television
stations; engage in telemarketing; put up billboards; participate
in trade shows; or even hold seminars in which you share your
expertise and promote your internet business.

There are many different ways to drive traffic to your website.
Opening your mind to the possibilities of both online and offline
advertising for the purpose of driving qualified, targeted
traffic to your website is the first step to devising an internet
marketing promotion strategy that will be wildly successful.

Both modern internet marketing tactics and traditional marketing
methods can be used to promote your internet-based business.

Conducting market research to clearly define your target market
and to learn about the characteristics of your target market is
crucial to successfully promoting any business through marketing
or advertising efforts.

For some people, designing and administering their marketing
program for their internet business is something they can do
themselves.

Others may benefit from professional services from expert
marketers who know how to market an internet-based business using
both state-of-the-art and traditional marketing methods.

Getting The Most From Free Manual Traffic Exchanges

Filed under: Traffic Management @ 6:06 am

The traffic exchange industry is rather small in comparison to
search engines and blogs however they are very effective if you
know how to use them.

First let’s look at what a traffic exchange is.
Free manual traffic exchanges use a simple idea where you look at
other members web pages in exchange they look at yours. It’s that
simple however most people miss the deceptively powerful
application of these services.

A traffic exchange in reality is a high speed, on demand,
instant-on, full page classified traffic system where you can
test your headlines, your copy, web colors and your business in
extremely short order.

That sounds fine and you may or may not have ever used a manual
traffic exchange but there are a couple of insiders techniques
which through constant tracking and testing have shown how to
effectively use them.

First off you must use a tabbed browser like Firefox where you
can open 5 exchanges at a time and do you surfing. Remember that
when you surf and look at other peoples pages they in turn are
looking at yours.

Join the best five on the internet and you are half way there.
You can of course join more but only testing will tell you which
ones are delivering a constant and steady flow of traffic from
your surfing efforts.

Before you enter any URL into those traffic systems first create
a special fast loading splash page. It should load within 2 – 10
seconds max.

What mechanisms you use in the splash page is important and
should be targeted to your market and designed to collect leads.
Yes I said leads. Most people who refuse to use the manual
traffic exchanges complain mostly that they don’t work for them.
With some quick questions and answers you will find most of those
say they don’t work did not use them for very long. Maybe a month
or three but not much more.

This is their first mistake. You must use this tool everyday
consistently and stay focused and dedicated to increasing your
traffic everyday using the traffic exchanges. Using a tabbed
browser you can easily create one thousand free visits to your
splash page every day.

Don’t be lazy surf surf surf, use a lead capture page preferably
a fast loading splash page.

Now back to the key ingredients.

1. Your photo. Don’t be shy! People do business with people not
web sites or programs. You want them to get to know you and
should want to get to know them so. This is called network
marketing.

2. Your full name and phone number including the country and
area codes. You do want the prospects calling you for more
information so you can close the deals and get a new signup.

3. Use a headline that tells the biggest benefit to THEM! Use
the color red for headlines and blue for sub headings.

4. Use three or four bulleted list of the top benefits to them
when they join you or subscribe. In other words time is
short and time is money. Don’t waste mine. Don’t waste
theirs.

5. Use a call to action like Get Started Right Away!

6. A BIG mistake is to use audio or video’s that immediately
start playing when the user opens the page. Many surfers may
be in an online conference and listening to training when
voice or music starts blearing in their ear! You just lost a
prospect. Those tactics may work with search engine traffic
but simply drive possible prospects running away from your
site as fast as their fingers will take them.

There you go. A quick guide to getting results from free manual
traffic exchanges.

Using a splash page in the high speed digital classified arena
called free manual traffic exchanges will absolutely produce real
time leads the freshest you’ve ever had. Build you list faster!
You will see increased traffic to your sites and build your
downlines in those associated programs as well.

Ok, so now you have all the pieces put together, you now MUST put
the machine in motion. This requires the labor, the putting the
cheese on the hamburgers in your own burger stand. You want
traffic for free? You want free hot fresh leads created and sent
to your inbox in real time? You must surf daily!

Now if you only have an hour a day to surf then do it daily seven
days a week without fail and you need to do it longer than 30
days. You must do this everyday for as long as air fills your
lungs and you want the traffic to go to your page.

Consistency, dedication, focus, determination, persistence and
the keeping to the daily schedule is the vital keys to using the
manual traffic exchanges successfully to build your list and your
business.

One great feature of the traffic exchanges is that a portion of
your credits can be used for banner impressions on the individual
networks you will be using. Unlike dedicated banner exchanges,
the banner click through ratio’s from the traffic exchange
systems tend to be higher and more responsive to what you are
promoting.

Keep in mind that most people are in the free mentality that
everything on the internet should be free and it should deliver
buckets of money without lifting a finger.

This is not a professional approach to any business and simply
will not work no matter what source of marketing you wish to use.
The traffic exchanges can literally grown your business in less
than a year and yes more income is the by product of this
combinations of ingredients used in this outline.

Offer something free to the visitors of your splash page for
taking action right away. Offer a free to join program or
download, perhaps a viral branded e-book?

The bottom line is that the free manual traffic exchanges indeed
do perform well and deliver tangible results in short order but
mostly they produce leads and assist you in branding yourself
within the community of web surfers using the exchanges. If it
didn’t work for you before it’s probably because you didn’t
understand how to use them properly and how to get the results
you were looking for.

Could be time for you to take another long look at it and give it
a good honest effort for at least a year using these tips and you
will probably never stop using traffic exchanges again.

Tracking Your Success

Filed under: Traffic Management @ 2:22 am

For most of us involved with web building or e-commerce, hit counting is old news. We all have our hit counters so we have an idea what traffic is like at our site on a day to day basis. Some even go as far as to note times and chart responses to promotions. But as our on-line world evolves, so must we.

A new breed of free counters and trackers are making a big splash and for good reason. These counters offer an expanded variety of tracking and counting features that some of your older counters may not. If you look on our front page at http://www.imr-central.com , you can see that we use Aaddzz.com ( at http://www.aaddzz.com/) for our tracking purposes. While Aaddzz is just one of many, they do offer very extensive counting and tracking statistics, and it’s all free. Included in the features are hourly, daily, weekly and monthly counting, browser identification (do most of our visitors use Netscape or I.E.?), time zone statistics, geographical identification and more.Webstat.com is another company offering similar free services as is Hitbox.com.

Another way to track your visitors is through your advertising. We always recommend targeted advertising, and certain types allow you to track who is visiting you, and more importantly, why. For example, GoTo.com sells keywords to websites, also known as keyword sponsorship. The idea here is that when people run a keyword search (i.e. flowers), you pay “x” amount for your flower site to come up in that search. With your GoTo account management center, you can see exactly which keywords are bringing in the most visitors and conversely, which aren’t. Of course, this is useful in choosing your keywords at GoTo, but also helpful on a larger scale. These words may provide insight as to what really brings people to your site, therefore helping you narrow your focus to enhancing what is working and either improving or eliminating what isn’t.

Another often overlooked method of tracking is visitor communication. There are a variety of ways to achieve this goal. One effective method is by the installation of visitor-feedback scripts at your site. You can find a variety of free resources of this kind. ( For starters, check The Javascript Source at: http://javascript.internet.com/ ) Also, don’t forget that visitor feedback is not just important as people surf your page, but when they use it as well. For example, if you sell a product, a simple feedback form at the end of the checkout process can provide insight as to the effectiveness of your checkout system. (i.e. Is it confusing? Is it a detriment to the purchase?)

Finally, good old fashioned e-mail can be a great tracking tool as well. When someone corresponds with you through your site or business, take the time to ask them a very quick question. For example, from time to time when we welcome a new subscriber to our e-zine, we often write a personal thank you back, and just ask them how they found out about us. Sometimes we’ll even ask what feature about our e-zine was of interest to them. Of course, you can’t abuse this practice as you could end up annoying visitors/clients…. not good. But if you are brief and genuine with people, my experience is that they are usually more than willing to help and often even like getting involved. People generally like to have their opinions heard, especially if they think it may make a difference… and in a properly run business, it will.

Tracking is more than numbers and geography. It is about knowing your current user-base and using those facts and figures to grow and expand that base . As webspace and e-commerce competition intensifies, in-depth tracking is another handy tool you may want to consider to keep yourself ahead of the pack.

3 Main Ways to get Instant Traffic

Filed under: Traffic Management @ 7:54 pm

We have seen in our previous topic, how to increase your traffic.
In some circumstances, you may need to increase your traffic immediately or to boost it in order to spread a new product or an offer or or simply to implement your viral marketing.
Well there is 3 easy to do that and we will explain them now.

You can:
Buy targeted traffic to your site,
email to your list,
or make a Joint Venture(JV).

To buy fast and immediate traffic, you will need to go to google or one of the other alternatives like overture from yahoo..
You may need to know how to use google adwords first, there is excellent ebooks on this subject, that will save you a lot of money, and avoid your ad to be deactivated.

That type or advertising is called Pay Per Click advertising. You will set a daily budget for your campaign, and you will only pay when some one make a click on your link
You will be able to see your ad on the right table of the page, when you search for specific keywords.

You will need to track your campaign.
For example, you can buy 3 different advertising sources, pay the same price for each, then track with a software which advertising gives you more results.

Then go on, like that you will save your money.
The second way is to email to your list.
You must understand the sale process. In a nutshell, visitors are surfing they fall on your site, but they probably won’ t come back except if you offer them an incentive, or newsletter, something that will bring them back:

You can send a promotional email, twice a month or once

Send valuable information between the promotional offer.

The last tip for immediate traffic is Joint Venture.
You have to get other websites to send email to their list, place your link on their website, and you will pay them only when they process a sale.
Pay them 50% or more.

And make the sale easy for them, prepare for them the subject and body of the emails, prepare the affiliate link they will put on their websites, and any other material you can use.
And who knows, you will maybe find some good friends out there.

This is one of the many amazing techniques taught at:

Ten Tips for Generating Traffic To Your Website

Filed under: Traffic Management @ 11:35 am

I know what you’re thinking, oh great another article about generating traffic to my website. Well it is important for your website to have traffic. It makes absolutely no sense to have the most informative website in the world that no one knows about. This article lists ten low cost ways to generate traffic to your website. Enjoy.

1. Trade links with sites that have high ranking and content similar to yours.

While visitors are important, targeted visitors are really important. If your site is about dogs, it would be silly to trade links with a site that is for people who hate dogs. That would be counterproductive and just does not make sense. No, in order for your link trade to work, it should be with a site that covers the same topic that your website covers.

2. Publish a blog.

I really do not have time to go into all of the benefits of a blog in this article. Just understand that search engines love them and that other bloggers link to other bloggers frequently.

3. Publish your own newsletter.

Now I know what you’re thinking, publish a newsletter? That sounds like a lot of work. Well yes it is, but if you write your newsletter about something you’re interested in, it won’t really seem like work at all. Can’t write your way out of a paper bag? Don’t worry about that, there are lots of places online where you can get free content on a regular basis. Just go to your favorite search engine and type in article directory and you will be amazed at the number of results that come up.

4. Offer some free content relevant to your subject matter.

People love freebies. Make sure that your content is of good quality and related to your subject material. It would also be nice if you required the visitor to leave an email address before receiving the freebie, that way you can build your list that much quicker.

5. Swap ads with other ezine publishers.

Find ezines that match your topic and offer to swap ads with the publisher. Many publishers will agree to this type of arrangement for a short period of time, especially if it is something of value to their subscribers.

6. Participate in online forums

7. Publish your url on everything you distribute (books, business cards, brochures, etc.)

8. Study everything you can about generating traffic.

This is extremely important since the Internet changes minute by minute. Subscribe to ezines, read ebooks, read the forums. All of these sources will help you stay current on the latest Internet trends.

9. Ask successful Internet marketers as many questions as you can think of.

Many Internet marketers want to help you to succeed, especially if you are one of their affiliates. If they help you succeed, they succeed. Remember, the only dumb question is the unasked question.

10. When you see a good idea, use it.

This should almost go without saying, but if you see a great idea, that you can easily implement while doing your research then by all means use it. That is why you are doing all of this research in the first place, right?
