How to find Adware removal that is really free and avoid the pitfalls

Filed under: Software Infos @ 3:17 pm

Really free adware removal programs can sometimes seem hard to find. You click on a link that promise really free adware removal programs, but end up on a site with programs that eventually turn out to have a lot of strings attached. You might only be able to try out the really free adware removal program for a very short time, such as a few days, before you must purchase an expensive version of the program. A few days is usually not enough to find if you are comfortable with you Adware removal program or not. Another disadvantage with this system is that when you purchase an expensive Adware removal program, you will most likely stick to that program even if the program becomes out-dated or a better program is offered on the market. In other cases, you can use the really free adware removal program for as long as you wish, but it turns out to be so basic that it offers very little protection from Adware. You are then encouraged to buy a better, but pricey, version of the program. Sometimes it is actually a really great free adware removal program that you are offered, but the updates cost quite a lot of money. Since all Adware removal programs need to be updated frequently to stay modern, this can turn out to be very costly in the end.

There are however examples of really free adware removal programs that are available for download online, but you might have to spend some time looking for them. Really free adware removal programs are seldom available off-line, since it would be too expensive to distribute them. Be vigilant when you choose a website from which to download a really free adware removal program, since there are a lot of dishonest sites offering fake adware removal programs. When more and more computer users began to protect their computers from adware with adware removal programs, the deceitful companies that gain from the Adware programs developed their own fake really free adware removal programs.

These fake programs are promoted vigorously on the Internet, and many computer users are lured into installing what they think is a protective. If you spend some time online, you will probably sooner or later stumble over a banner add that warns you about the dangers of Adware, or claim that your computer is already infested with Adware. You will be offered a great really free adware removal program, and if click on the banner your will be sent to a website. From this website you can download something that looks like a very good and really free adware removal program, but it is actually a fake. Your computer will not be protected from Adware when you use this fake adware removal program, and the fake adware removal program will probably also install Adware, Spyware and other types of Malware in your computer. You can minimize the risk of downloading a fake adware removal program by only downloading really free adware removal programs from trustworthy web pages with a good reputation.

New forms of malicious Spyware and Adware are constantly created and in order to protect your computer from infestations you must choose a high-quality program and keep it updated. Supportcave.com offer a selected number of the very best really free adware removal programs available for immediate online download

MPEG Encoder for Burning DVDs

Filed under: Software Infos @ 10:36 pm

MPEG, or Moving Picture Experts Group, is a jointly working group comprised of the International Standards Organization and International Electro-Technical Commission (ISO/IEC) to standardize the coding of moving pictures and the associated audio in a digital compressed format.

MPEG-2 uses very sophisticated compression techniques to compress audio and video in order for it to be burned on a DVD. You can purchase and download hardware and software MPEG Encoders to burn a DVD.

MPEG-2 is the process needed to encode video and audio information for a DVD burner, by burning the information onto a DVD disc with time stamps. The process of an MPEG encoder for burning DVDs is done using codec’s to encode the video and audio and save it in smaller pieces to be transformed into a frequency space and then quantized.

MPEG-3 is one of the discontinued encoding processes for digital media, and is often confused for MPEG-1 (what we know as MP3). MP3 encoding has quickly become the standard for digitizing music around the world, and listening to it on your computer, laptop or personal MP3 Player. Most people burn mp3 songs to CDROMS, however for digital archiving, some people burn the files to DVD as well.

To burn a DVD, you need a DVD burner, an MPEG Encoder, a blank DVD-R (recordable) disc and the audio and video that you wish to burn onto the DVD-R.

MPEG Encoders can be bought as hardware or software and downloaded to transform and compress your audio and video file into MPEG format so that it can be burned onto a DVD using a DVD Burner. The process itself is quite complex and took a team of specialists to perfect. However, the process is streamlined where you as the end user are only expected to follow short, simple commands by the software to burn your encoded data.

You can search the internet for a suitable MPEG encoder and also for a DVD burner that will best suit your needs. Your local computer shopping store will also have a variety of DVD burners with some expert advice on which products will best work for what information you are looking to encode and burn.

And lastly, when in doubt about which MPEG compression algorithm to use to encode your data, “google” it. Chances are that you are not the only person who has had a question regarding MPEG encoding and DVD Burning. By doing your research early, you can ensure your next burn will go smoothly!

Mansi aggarwal writes about MPEG encoder.

Microsoft Great Plains: Houston ERP market notes

Filed under: Software Infos @ 10:56 pm

In this small article we would like to share our consulting experience, serving Houston business metro ERP/MRP/CRM market, in our case this is Microsoft Great Plains, Microsoft CRM, Microsoft Navision and Microsoft Axapta implementation, customization, integration & reporting. Let’s make introduction on the products.

Microsoft Business Solutions renamed its ERP products: Microsoft Great Plains into Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft CRM into Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Navision into Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Axapta into Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Solomon into Microsoft Dynamics SL. Project Green should result in merging product interfaces and making modules cross-integration seamless somewhere in the second decade of XXI century.

To the specifics of Houston market and clientele:

• Oil & Gas: Oil Drilling companies and Oil Refineries are relatively large and it is new opportunity for Microsoft Great Plains. In our opinion, when Microsoft SQL Server became a rival to Oracle, DBII and other high-end DB platforms, large enterprises got a very good chance to decrease ERP application implementation & licensing cost and switch from functionally rich ERPs: SAP, Oracle Financials/E-Business Suite/Applications, PeopleSoft, JDEdwards to standard functionality ERPs: Great Plains eEnterprise/Microsoft Great Plains, Navision, etc. Microsoft Dexterity customizations allows you to tune Great Plains to the specific business logic versus paying high price for rich functionality modules

• Defense & Aerospace. These enterprises are spread across Texas: San Antonio, Dallas, Austin. These companies, being established and traditional have challenge of cross application integration. In some cases, due to the size of these corporations, Microsoft Dynamics GP serves as ERP for regional branch or subdivision and is subject for consolidation into Corporate ERP. Special consideration should be given to Microsoft CRM and Great Plains integration with Lotus Notes Domino.

• Venture Capital & Startups. Especially in Dallas area. Our experience dealing with such implementations indicates that business processes are so unique, that custom pieces are almost always the must. The business type is generally new services and Service Advantage Suite is usually customized with Microsoft Great Plains Modifier/VBA and Microsoft Dexterity. As Project Green advances, you should expect more .Net side customizations: XML Web Services, eConnect, etc. When we are talking about venture capital – we also include micro cap ventures.

• Chemicals. Across the Gulf of Mexico, up to New Orleans – we have experience implementing, customizing and upgrading Microsoft Dynamics GP for chemical tanks cleaning company.

Microsoft Great Plains: Interest Calculation Example – Stored Procedure for Crystal Report

Filed under: Software Infos @ 12:41 am

This is intermediate level SQL scripting article for DB Administrator, Programmer, IT Specialist

Our and Microsoft Business Solutions goal here is to educate database administrator, programmer, software developer to enable them support Microsoft Great Plains for their companies. In our opinion self support is the goal of Microsoft to facilitate implementation of its products: Great Plains, Navision, Solomon, Microsoft CRM. You can do it for your company, appealing to Microsoft Business Solutions Techknowledge database. This will allow you to avoid expensive consultant visits onsite. You only need the help from professional when you plan on complex customization, interface or integration, then you can appeal to somebody who specializes in these tasks and can do inexpensive nation-wide remote support for you.

Let’s look at interest calculation techniques.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 – Preliminary Highlights

Filed under: Software Infos @ 6:57 am

Microsoft is currently on the way to release Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0. Current version is MS CRM 1.2. Why Microsoft Business Solutions skipped one version (2.0 or the like)? One of the Microsoft answers was – version 1.2 had too many new features (as developers we may guess – MS CRM SDK redesign – some functionality was deprecated – joke – of course MS CRM 1.2 is very impressive progress comparing to the pioneer – 1.0), so 1.2 was playing the role of skipped 2.0. This article is targeted to IT departments who do self-implementation and self-customization and we’ll try to give you the info on new release, which is expected in December, 2005.

• Migration Tool. There will be migration path from MS CRM 1.2 to 3.0. According to Microsoft it should be relatively straightforward upgrade

• Pre-Callouts. N MS CRM 1.2 as you probably know – you can use post call-outs to place your custom logic. In 3.0 you can deploy he possibility to call your custom code before the commitment and so if needed roll-back the change

• Duplicates merge. Well – you probably noticed the fact that in 1.2 you can’t clean up duplicate records with one or another automation tool. In 3.0 – duplicates merge is finally realized and you can merge activities and decide which phone number, or address to pick for the consolidated record.

• Marketing Module. Now you should be able to do marketing campaigns and place criteria to pick the targeted audience.

• Scheduling. You will see more features, available in MS Outlook to facilitate your work. Now you should be able to schedule “field service” type of appointments with your customers

• MS Outlook-like interface. Microsoft Outlook users worldwide count is probably something astonishing and it is logical marketing idea to capitalize on this. If you make your products to use intuitive (or trained in your alma mater university) Microsoft Office Outlook interface – clients may expect their users to speed up with the learning curve

• Installation, Administration, Support. These should be a way more simple. It is hard to believe, because MS CRM uses MS Exchange, Active Directory, etc. – but this is what it is.

• Technical Highlights. One of the most astonishing should be the possibility to integrate one-to-many custom table relationship, including MS Outlook client synchronization. Imagine – you have cargo tracking system and you use MS CRM order as shipment object. Then you can have multiple shipment one-to-many relationships, such as shipment statuses, shipment items, etc.

• MS CRM Suite. With 3.0 you do not have to purchase MS CRM Sales or Professional to get, say service module. Now you have the option to add modules in the future. However if you purchase MS CRM Professional before December 2005 – you will get full set of MS Dynamics CRM 3.0 modules

7 Applications Worth Checking Out

Filed under: Software Infos @ 1:13 pm

The following is a list of 7 software applications or web services to keep your computer safe and make your computing experience better.

First up is adaware. Go to download.com and search for adaware. It is a free (for personal use) spy ware removal tool. Run it once a week to remove spy ware and small viruses that maybe slowing your connection or trying to steal your identity.

Second is spy bot. It is also a spy ware removal tool and can also be found by searching download.com. The reason you need this is that is will pick up what adaware misses. Between the two applications you will stop/find most spy ware.

Third is zone alarm. You can find it at www.zonelabs.com. Zone alarm is a free firewall program. It will prevent unwanted invaders from getting into your computer. It can sometimes be very aggressive so you may need to go into the settings and allow any programs you notice are being blocked after you install.

Fourth is the google pack. This is a suite of free programs put together by Google. It includes a photo organizer, tool bars, and most importantly it includes a version of Nortan Antivirus with a 6 month subscription. This will give you a good start with having an anti-virus program installed. There are also several other programs that are optional. You can get the google pack by clicking on the link on my homepage.

Fifth is the web browser Firefox. This is an alternative to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. It has many features that enhance your web browsing experience including tabbed browsing, not to mention it is more secure than IE. You can get Firefox by clicking on the link on the right hand side of my homepage.

Sixth is Windows XP. Windows XP comes with most new computers these days. If you are still using Windows 98 or Windows ME its time to upgrade. These older system are no longer supported and its hard to get software that is compatible.

Last but not least is a Google account. Email has the best web based email program out there. A Google account not gets you an online spreadsheet program and an online calendar. All of these features can be shared with your friends and there is a chat program that works right inside your inbox.

Using these applications will make your computing safe, fun, and easy.

How To Build A Mortgage Calculator For Free in Microsoft Excel!

Filed under: Software Infos @ 9:03 pm

One of the really cool parts aspects of Microsoft Excel is the functions Microsoft has created for you to use. This means that rather than have to develop a function from scratch you can use pre-built ones to do a plethora of tasks like Building your own Mortgage Calculator. The Mortgage Calculator or PMT function is just one of many Financial Functions available.

Okay, so how to build a mortgage calculator…

The first thing we have to do is to start by setting up a few basic headings. So lets begin by starting a new workbook and clicking in the first cell A1. Enter into cell address A1 the heading – Monthly Loan Repayments. Next off, enter into cell address A2 – Amount of Loan, cell address A3 – Interest Rate, cell address A4 – Length of Loan and then in A6 – Monthly Repayment.

In example mortgage calculator, we will take the Loan Amount, Interest Rate and Length of Loan and calculate your Monthly Repayment. Okay so in the corresponding field B1 enter the value of $200,000 and make sure you format the field as a currency. In cell B2 enter a value of 9.25% and format the field as a percentage and then finally enter in a value for the Length of the Loan as 25. The value you enter into the Length of the Loan field is in years.

Now its time to create the formula that will do your calculation for the Monthly Repayment. The function we will use for this calculation is called the PMT function. The PMT function always returns a negative number so one of the things we will need to do is to convert it into a positive number, but a little on that later.

There are three arguments we will use for this formula and they are -

= PMT(Monthly Interest Rate, Number of Payments, Amount Borrowed)

So to work out the Monthly Interest Rate we simply take the value in B3 and divide it by 12 – B3/12. The PMT function works on the basic of the number of payments you are going to make, so if we are going to make monthly payments on our mortgage we simply take the number of years in cell B4 and multiply it by 12 – B4 *12.

This means that to calculate the Monthly Repayment for our mortgage we need to enter the following formula -

= PMT(B3/12, B4*12, B2)

Now as I said before, the PMT function always returns a negative value, so to turn this into a positive value we simply type the PMT function with the Absolute Function encapsulating it as shown below -

= ABS(PMT(B3/12,B4*12,B2))

Simply type the formula above into the cell B6 and press the enter key. You must now format the cell address B6 as a currency and you can do that by simply pressing the Dollar Symbol on the Formatting Toolbar. As soon as you enter the formula and press enter you should get a result of $1712.76. If you do not get this answer, simply go back and make sure that you have entered the formula correctly.

The cool part about this Mortgage Calculator is that you can go back and change any one of the values in B2, B3 and B4 which are the Loan Amount, Interest Rate and Length of Loan to work out what your monthly mortgage repayments will be.

The cool part about this simple tool is that it tells you really quickly whether borrowing massive amounts from the bank is worth it and whether you can really afford that mortgage. Why not check out what your repayments will be if your interest rate went up by 2 or 3%, it can be really interesting to see the impact on your budget.

Simple tools like this can save you thousands of dollars and can also help you see what changes interest rates will have on your own budget. It is certainly worthwhile building yourself a Budgeting Spreadsheet and the mortgage calculator to work out just what you really can afford especially in these uncertain times.

Great Plains Dexterity – Microsoft Great Plains Customization Overview

Filed under: Software Infos @ 5:08 pm

Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains, former Great Plains Software Dynamics and eEnterprise are Dexterity-written applications. Also small business line: Microsoft Small Business Manager or Small Business Financials is written in Dexterity and uses the same code base as Great Plains.

The history of the Dexterity. Great Plains Dexterity – is proprietary programming language and technology, designed back to earlier 1990th with the goal to build platform independent graphical accounting package – Great Plains Dynamics. Dexterity itself is written in C (following popular those days hope – that C will provide platform independence). You can install Dexterity from Great Plains 7.5 CD #2. Obviously it requires a lot of learning / training, but it allows your custom piece be seamlessly integrated with Great Plains interface.

• Native Dexterity Cursors. Dexterity was designed as platform independent programming language and so if you want your code to be operable on all currently supported databases – you use Dexterity ranges and loops to manipulate the records

• Great Plains Dexterity with SQL Stored Procs Nowadays, most of Great Plains installations are moved to SQL Server – so you can use Dexterity for custom forms drawing only and make the buttons run SQL stored procedures.

• COM Objects calls. Beginning with version 7.0 Dexterity supports COM objects – you register them as libraries in Dexterity. Refer the manual. This technique allows you to call such nice things as web services across the internet.

• Dexterity Forms – if you like VBA and are comfortable to do all the business logic in VBA – you can use Dexterity as new forms creator/editor. This is OK – but you have to purchase VBA/Modifier and Customization Site Enabler from MBS.

• Great Plains Alternate Forms. These are modification to existing forms – the ones found in DYNAMICS.DIC. The most popular customization are made on SOP Entry form. If you are designing your customization – we recommend you to avoid alternate forms – the problem is customization version upgrade. In the case of alternate form – customization should be redone.

Some restrictions. Great Plains is actually integration of multiple dictionaries: DYNAMICS.DIC, ADVSECUR.DIC, EXP1493.DIC, etc. In your Dexterity customization you can deal with one dictionary – DYNAMICS.DIC. If you need cross dictionaries customization – consider using SQL Stored Procs for crossing dictionary borders and pulling data/making changes in the other dictionary.

You can always have us help you with the customization. Call us: 1-866-528-0577, 1-630-961-5918.
