Federal Chief Information Officer Vivek Kundra Employs Facebook for Nation-wide Chat

It began as a way for the Obama administration to make a new level of transparency. A way to provide United States citizens with data and permit them to truly participate in the government deliberations like never before. Today Vivek Kundra, Federal CIO, employs Social Media and other technology to create and preserve an open dialog with United States with the opinion that citizens are united like never before and have the want to affect change.

Vivek Kundra is now enforcing his experience for the important job of Federal Chief Information Officer. The expertise acquired during his time as Chief Technology Officer for District of Columbia lends to the Gov 2.0 initiatives he is implementing as part of the Obama Administration. He wants the government IT efforts applying private sector programs to be conducive factors to theefficient spreading of information.

Assigned by President Barack Obama, Vivek Kundra has become the first Federal CIO ever. He is constantly working to inspire Information Technology in the public eye applying principles of participation, collaboration, transparency. With previous expertise has CTO for Washington, D.C. Vivek Kundra has the know how and credentials to meet the IT hurdles before him. His former expertise at the District and State levels prepared him well for this task.
