Residual Incomes through Travelblogging

Filed under: Travel Info @ 3:28 am

Worldwide communication is now available from our homes – and this is echoed in the burgeoning number of weblogs from individual travellers all over the globe writing from wherever they are at the time.

From stories about Vietnamese diets to mango and sticky rice desserts, there seems to be no topic that isn’t written about by these intrepid travellers.

Such blogs- often called “travelblogs” – are read by like-minded travelers and individuals who have been to the country they’re writing from. Not only that, but such blogs give an inside view of the country for the people thinking of traveling in the future, and so give them a preview of what to expect if they do decide to travel.

These days it’s common to discover such travelblogs, and so it’s sometimes not enough to merely offer your views on the nation you are currently residing in. Now there’s a need for blogs that pinpoint niches within the nation they reside. For instance, a travelblog regarding photos of tuk tuks in Thailand, or maybe a blog that details the local food scene of Malaysia.

The majority pen such travelblogs as a hobby, and a bit of attention, but there are bloggers who earn cash from blogging. Be it earnings from advertising on their travelblog, or maybe for writing articles for other blogs and receiving money for such work (while they travel). If you’re traveling in countries that have low living costs, this can actually be sufficient to maintain all your expenses – though you do have to have a reserve of cash and not soley rely on earning money from your website.

In summary, it’s a good idea to write a journal of what you’re getting up to while you’re travelling – for looking back on and recollecting what you did, and at the same time giving other people a unique view at a corner of the world they may know little about.
